About Nigel Mear

Nigel is a highly experienced IT Service Management professional with over twenty five years experience in Information Technology, Telecommunications and Broadcasting sectors.

He has an extensive track record having worked for a number of major organisations including the BBC, IBM, British Telecom, and Cable and Wireless.

Throughout his career Nigel has always taken a keen interest in performance, learning and development and is now an accomplished consultant, trainer and coach, working with teams and individuals at all levels.

He is an accredited ITIL trainer, professionally accredited business coach, ISEB examiner, and an accomplished IT Service Management consultant. Nigel's extensive real-world experience enables him to bring an in-depth understanding of the business environment to his training, coaching and consultancy.

Within the industry he is an active member of the Institute of Service Management, BCS, European Mentoring & Coaching Council, Association for Coaching, and itSMF. He is a regular speaker at ITSM industry events, and author of the official BCS and ISEB sponsored ITIL Foundation Exam preparation guide. Nigel is founder and Director of Solid Air Consultancy Ltd.
